Who I Am
I’m Adam Flores, a student in the IT and AI program at UC. I grew up in Trabuco Canyon in South Orange County, where being close to both the mountains and the coast shaped a lifelong love of the outdoors. Before diving into tech, I coached basketball straight out of high school, which taught me how to break complex things down into simple steps and keep people motivated—skills that turn out to matter just as much in software as they do on the court.
What I Do
These days I split my time between school and building things. I run a festival and a record label, and I’m currently developing a web app for a client who manages roughly 20,000 domains. I’m pursuing dual majors in IT and AI because I want a solid grounding in programming, design, and artificial intelligence—not as separate skills, but as tools I can combine to solve real problems for my own ventures and beyond.
Outside of Work
When I’m not at a screen, you’ll usually find me outside. I surf whenever I can, especially at Laguna Beach, and I spend time on the biking trails near where I grew up. I try to keep a healthy balance between the digital world and the natural one—using the internet to learn and connect, while making sure I still get plenty of time away from it.
